Behavioural Management (“Verhaltensorientiertes Management”):
Our research and teaching focus on behaviour of people and markets (“Menschen und Märkte”).

Companies are successful if and only if they understand people in their role as consumer, customer, employee, and decision maker.

Companies and their managers must be capable to understand markets from economic, societal, and psychological perspective. In order to understand behaviour, this calls for knowledge of the theories behind all this. And we need the methods to influence behaviour.

This leads to fascinating questions:

  • Why do consumers, employees, and managers behave as they do?
  • How do internationalization and europeanization influence that behaviour?
  • How can we decipher the expectations of customers and other stakeholders and how can we meet them?
  • How can we bring the attitudes and skills of employees together with those of the managers?
  • How can modern information systems and social media help to understand the people we interact with?

With all these and many more questions we deal in the European Institute for Advanced Behavioural Management.
