Prof. Dr. Stein holds the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Human Resource Management and Organization at the University of Siegen. He is the founding director of the University of Siegen Business School, which offers an MBA program with a focus on SME-related business management. He is also a visiting professor at the Ecole de Management in Strasbourg and at the European Institute for Advanced Behavioural Management (EIABM).

The course “Leadership and Human Resource Management” focuses on the basic and advanced aspects of modern leadership and Human Resource Management. The strategic dimensions of leadership and HRM in times of disruptive change are highlighted. The HRM function of optimising human capital and creating value for organisations is covered. In an interactive way, the contents of human resource management and policy will be conveyed through discussions on various practical examples and case studies.

 

M6-3 Leadership and Humand Resource Management

This module focuses on the basic and advanced aspects of modern leadership and HRM. It covers current challenges and classifies them along a professionalization framework for HRM. Topics are – among others – the organization of HRM, Darwiportunism and the ethics of HRM, organizational culture, leadership and HRM in global context, the specific challenges of leadership in times of digitalisation, and the monetary measurement of human capital.
