Digitalization and the use of technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data-based analysis are key drivers of these changes. These developments require managers to have a deep understanding of new business models and the ability to design dynamic and personalized service offerings.

The “Service Management” course, led by Prof. Emeritus Dr. Herbert Woratschek offers students comprehensive insights into current trends and challenges in the service sector. In addition to classic management approaches, the latest topics such as the implementation of AI to optimize customer interactions, the importance of sustainability strategies and the use of digital platforms to improve service efficiency are covered. Participants will learn how to use innovative concepts and technologies to meet the ever-changing demands of the market while achieving sustainable competitive advantages.

Professor Emeritus Dr. Woratschek was Head of the Chair in Marketing and Service Management at the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Bayreuth and Head of the MBA Sports Management program. His international experience as a visiting professor in New Zealand, Australia, Norway and Canada complements his extensive expertise. His research interests include quality management, value co-creation and price management.
