“Europa-Talk” on 3rd March at 6 p.m. (German time) with the topic:
“Why don’t we just throw someone out?”
– The problem with unanimity in the EU” –
Timo Stockhorst, regional chairman of the Young European Federalists Saarland and deputy regional chairman of the Europa Union Saarland, and Sebastian Zeitzmann (LL.M.), lawyer at the Institute for European Media Law and lecturer at the Europa-Institut of Saarland University, will discuss political demands and legal options.
The following questions, among others, will be addressed: Why does the principle of “unanimity” exist? Is it possible to kick someone out of the EU? What are the possibilities for reform? What can differentiated integration achieve?
The online event is a joint action of Europe Direct Saarbrücken and Ulm, the Young European Federalists Saarland and the European Academy Otzenhausen.
The event is in German, open to the public and free of charge. Registration for the event is not required.
