The Corona pandemic, war in Ukraine and protests in Iran have economic and financial consequences for the whole world. Shops were closed, aid funds, austerity plans, sanctions and Corona aid were decided, the debt brake was suspended, innovation and investment incentives were created and many other measures were taken. The economy continues to face major challenges, where to save, where to invest?

The Economics and Finance module teaches students to look at the real as well as the monetary sides of an issue and to understand and retain the underlying logic of international economics and finance.

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Wenzelburger is Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and heads the Chair of Macroeconomics there. His research focuses include the Financial Economics, Overlapping generation models, Theory of learning, Banking and Financial Markets.
