The service sector is a central element in driving the European economy. It accounts for around 70% of European economic activity and is growing daily due to the digital transformation and globalization and contributes a very large part of our global economy. This poses new challenges, especially for managers within companies. In the course “Service Management”, Prof. Dr. Herbert Woratschek introduces students to the topic of service management and provides them with important concepts that they will learn to apply in many new areas.
Before his retirement in 2022, Prof. Dr. Herbert Woratschek was a professor at the Chair of Marketing and Service Management at the Faculty of Law and Economics and head of the MBA Sports Management course in Bayreuth.
In addition to his teaching activities at the University of Bayreuth, he worked internationally as a visiting professor in New Zealand, Australia and Norway, among others. His research interests include quality management, value co-creation and price management.
